Fostering

The majority of our animals come from high-kill shelters in New Mexico and Texas, although we have also assisted in areas of Colorado such as the eastern plains and the San Luis Valley, in addition to some local surrenders. We can’t transport animals until we know where they are going to stay, and that’s where foster homes come in.

Fostering is a temporary commitment, although we can’t define exactly how long or short it may be. We cover all the expenses. Click here for the application to become a dog foster. Click here for the application to become a cat foster. Fostering is a unique, fulfilling experience!

Because the list of dogs in need of a foster home is frequently changing, please visit our Dogs in Need of Foster Album on Facebook. You can be the force that changes the lives of these dogs in need!

Since our animals are typically not fully vaccinated upon intake, we do verify current vaccinations for existing cats and dogs in potential foster homes, as well as spay/neuter status. A home visit is also required.
